The engineer will implement automated solutions, leverage cloud-based tools, and develop security and compliance capabilities to support the secure delivery of College Board's digital products.
The Senior Full Stack Engineer will be a key member of the DevSecOps Engineering team at The College Board in Boise, Idaho. This team of four remote full stack engineers collaborates daily using ensemble or mob programming methodologies to build and operate product security solutions that support the secure delivery of all College Board digital products. In this role, the Senior Full Stack Engineer will work closely with other engineers to implement automated solutions that enable College Board developers to easily consume security and compliance services. They will leverage automated tools to build, harden, maintain, and instrument a comprehensive cloud-based security orchestration platform to be consumed in product CI/CD pipelines. The engineer will also develop automated security and compliance capabilities in support of DevOps processes in a large-scale AWS cloud computing environment. The Senior Full Stack Engineer should have a love of learning and a growth mindset, with demonstrated software engineering experience and proficiency using JavaScript and TypeScript. They should have 3 years or more of experience with numerous aspects of software engineering and full stack proficiency. A deep understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and experience in DevOps and CICD automation and tooling is also required. Differentiating factors include experience in pair programming or mob programming methodologies, strong knowledge of cloud security and application security, and experience working as part of a Platform Engineering team or contributing to open source projects. The College Board offers a competitive benefits and compensation program, with a hiring range of $144,000 to $157,000 for this position. Salary will be carefully determined based on the candidate's location, relevant experience, the external labor market, and the pay of College Board employees in similar roles.
